This provides power in the car. I works real well with the kindle. it also can power a dvd player or a laptop. It is like having a wall outlet in your car. I really enjoy this product. By the way it also has a usb port and cable that allos you to charge an ipod or mobile phone

AN outlet in your car! It charges my Kindle! AND it charges just about anything else… laptop, Nintendo DS, and it has a usb port to charge my iphone.
